David Collins is a BAFTA , Emmy, Logie and Helpmann winning writer, actor and voice artist, better known around the world as half of The Umbilical Brothers.
David plays 'Arnie the Ant' in all three Maya the Bee movies, worked on Happy Feet 2 for Kennedy Miller, is the voice behind Vicks Australia/NZ campaigns, and the voice and sounds behind the award-winning animated series, Maisy.
Apart from versatility and character scope from many years of experience, David's well-toned voice can deliver a perfectly natural read, with the ability to be authoritative and engaging. He can also sing in any style and he smells like tea and biscuits.
David won Best Actor at Tropfest for his film Silencer, which he co-wrote and directed. On television, he co-created and performed in the Emmy and Logie winning Upside Down Show, and recently had lead roles in Drop Dead Weird, Oh Yuck! and Disney's Book of Once Upon a Time.
In theatre, David co-wrote and performed The Luck Child for Sydney Theatre Company, which was the recipient of Best Production for Children at both the Sydney Theatre Awards and Adelaide Fringe.
As an Umbilical Brother, David has performed in 40 countries, from Broadway to the Middle East. They have appeared after James Brown at Woodstock '99, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and before the Queen. Their awards range from the international impressive to the entirely unknown.
