Megan Drury

Megan worked as an Artistic Associate on Australia’s first and longest-running large-scale fully immersive theatre show, A MIDNIGHT VISIT (Broad Encounters). She was also an originating cast-member/collaborator ‘Conspirator’ and Dance Captain on this multi-award winning five star production.

Megan assistant directed Damien Ryan on a new edit of THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, with the highly-acclaimed award-winning Shakespeare company Sport For Jove Theatre Co; for whom she also co-wrote and co-directed THE PLAYOFFS (Second Age Project) and was Movement Director for KING LEAR (Third Age Project).

For Belvoir St Theatre’s Youth Express Program, Megan assistant directed James Winter in workshopping, devising and creating A BRIGHTER SHADE OF PINK with community organisation Twenty10.

Megan was an Additional Dramaturg on the listening experience HALF MAN || HALF BULL (Half Man || Half Bull UK) and has also done dramaturgical work on numerous short films, including the award-winning COMFORTABLE and THE DEATH OF GEORGE MONTGOMERY.

Megan has engaged in countless script development processes and been an original cast member in multiple new stage plays; her grasp on character and world-building, research and shared history, narrative and relationships is second to none.

Megan is an accomplished multi-disciplinary creative artist; fluidly traversing text-based work, movement-based work, scripted and unscripted work, traditional and non-traditional approaches and environments. She looks forward to working with you.
